Dr. Wang was born and raised in Plano, Texas. She was selected to attend the University of Texas at Dallas with full ride tuition under the Academic Excellence Scholarship and graduated in 4 years with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and a Bachelor of Arts in Arts & Performance. Throughout her undergraduate years she worked as an optometric technician and receptionist on the weekends.
She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry. She completed an externship with Kathryn Musgrove, MD of Houston Eye Associates with an emphasis on pediatric strabismus, adult strabismus, and primary eye care for special needs patients. Shortly afterwards, she completed the ocular disease externship at the Northeastern State University of Oklahoma College of Optometry in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
Upon graduation, Dr. Wang moved to New York to practice primary care optometry in Brooklyn.
She has since moved back to the DFW area and joined Newberry Vision Associates in 2023. She has special interest in therapeutic vision correction and dry eye therapy.
Dr. Wang is an active member of the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
Dr. Wang lives in Dallas with her husband and their dog. In her spare time, she enjoys watching reality TV and sleeping in.
